Hi There!  I, Hannah Bonecutter, am the founder and sole owner of BoneClutter LLC.  I have always been a “neat freak” of sorts; whether it was color coordinating my art supplies as a 2nd grader or labeling my notebooks & folders by subject as a middle school student.  Yet even with these natural tendencies, I did not anticipate myself forming such a deep passion for professional organizing, much less, later building a career out of it.

Since childhood, I have been an extremely involved, well-rounded individual.  I have always had a fairly busy schedule filled with various events or tasks.  Although keeping up with all this sometimes can get overwhelming, it has certainly helped me become very efficient in time management and schedule planning.  Personality-wise, I am quite the extravert, being super outgoing - eager to meet new people, explore new places, and try new things (especially food).

Outside of professional organizing with BoneClutter, I am also an actress, model, spoken word poet, filmmaker, public speaker, licensed educator, and public health professional.  While earning my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, I became a licensed professional educator in Illinois.   Since then, I have taught and privately tutored students in all subjects and across all ages from infants to elderly.  I have experience teaching in a variety of different settings, including urban, suburban, private, public, local, and abroad.  I am an engaged community activist through serving as a Young Professional board member, Leadership Committee member, Associates Board member, and Community Engagement Specialist of the following nonprofit organizations respectively: Women’s Global Education Project (WGEP), Women Employed (WE), Housing Opportunities and Maintenance for the Elderly (HOME), and Justice Journey Alliance (JJA).

Within the arts realm, I have acted on several film projects ranging from large television network TV series to independent short films.  To date, I have I have written, executive produced, and starred in two of my own film projects, one being a feature-length documentary entitled Live as the Majority (LATM) and my latest experimental short film being Minstrel vs. Puppet (MVP)I engage my poetry skills by performing self-written spoken word poetry throughout the Chicagoland area at various venues, for specific organizations’ events, and during open mic gatherings.  Moreover, I operate as a public speaker as well, whether it be within an educational setting on an academic-related topic or in an artistic space sharing about my personal journey.  Recently in 2021, I earned my Master of Public Health (MPH) in the division of Health Policy and Administration, with a Global Health Concentration, and a Health Disparities Research Certificate from the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC).  While I do indeed keep a busy lifestyle, I still manage to spend time with friends and family doing some of the activities here in Chicago that I love most.  Some of my favorite pastimes include watching movies, swimming, restaurant dining, multicultural dancing, and international travel.

So you may be wondering exactly how and when did BoneClutter LLC come along?  Well this is a uniquely interesting story in itself.  Curious?  No worries!  I have the story available just for you.  Please see the Founder’s Story here.

Since January 2015, when I first began developing my professional organizing business, I become a National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) professional member as well as a NAPO Chicago Chapter member.  In addition to attending NAPO Chicago Chapter meetings and my NAPO Chicago City neighborhood group gatherings as I can, I continue to take NAPO education courses online to gain more knowledge on my industry, participate in NAPO trending topic webinars, and read all the top-rated, all about organizing books I can get my hands on.  I am also working towards obtaining my credential of a Certified Professional Organizer (CPO).

I thoroughly enjoy the many aspects of what I do as a professional organizer and business owner in this industry, which ranges from sorting through the contents in a client’s household drawers to keeping track of my business expenses on my QuickBooks accounting software.  Yet, the thing I absolutely love most is how this process of professional organizing changes my clients’ lives for the better!  Professional organizing is much more than keeping objects in order or systematizing digital files.  It is truly about having those smaller, not so crucial aspects of your life organized so that you can explore and accomplish the things that you are deeply passionate about and crave to do!  Based in Oak Park, IL, BoneClutter LLC is all about getting you to that point where you have the time and energy to do those things you truly want to do while still maintaining peace, order, and efficiency in your household and workspace.

I hope you have enjoyed learning a bit about me.  I would love to learn a bit about you and any professional organizing needs you may have!  Please feel free to complete an intake form to share this information and get started on the BoneClutter process.
